Purpose:
A filter restricts information being displayed or reported to a useful sub-set (e.g. show me only information for time of use sites for the corporate service business group).
Note: Filters defined in the Data Section function independently to those defined in the Reporting Section.

When to use the Filter
You are encouraged to make extensive use of the filter, and make a habit of applying filters as a first step in any analysis or reporting process.
Note: Filtering reduces data server loads, resulting in faster website response times.
